Suffering Every Minute of Every Day: Lung Cancer (Mom)
Smoking is harmful for the smoker and their family, including secondhand smoke exposure.
This campaign depicts a man smoking at home. His daughter is watching him and drawing a picture of him lying in a hospital bed. She begins to cry. When the father asks why she is crying and why he is pictured in a hospital bed, the daughter tells him that he will get sick because he smokes and she's afraid he will die or that she and her mom will get sick from secondhand smoke. The father promises to quit smoking for his family.
Father: Why are you crying for, darling? Why am I in a hospital bed? Daughter: Because you smoke, you will get sick. Please quit smoking, Daddy. Mother and I are worried that you might die. And we may get sick too. Father: For our family, I will quit smoking! Daughter: Promise us daddy? Father: I promise. VO: For the health and happiness of yourself and your family, quit smoking today!
